making the RXP seat LIGHTER!!!
Has anyone tried this yet?? this can only net positive gains I would think .. I mean seriously this thing has gotta weigh in at 60 lbs and more when its wet ... I want to try to lighten it with some memory foam maybe or something im going to start looking into it , IF anyone has any ideas let me know .. thanks '

Hollow it out. If you can create a mold and have an aluminum frame with kevlar seat and throw in some carbon fiber...that would save you more than 60 pounds in weight - the weight loss of both the old seat foam + the arm and leg it cost you to fabricate such an expense...lol
I hear you...about weight being a factor - it's everywhere on this rig.

No you don't, I had a R Pot seat on my STXR and it got old very quick, managed to make a good sale and got rid of it.
Carbon seats are more of engine covers, they're not meant to be sat on, they're meant for hard racing.

Jerry, Do you know the cost of the carbon hood? and the weights of the seat/hood? I keep meaning to ask Mark when I have him on the phone and I forget everytime....

The gains of puting an RXP (or any ski) on a diet don't equal the gains you get spending the same money in engine mods.
