No more Green Wheel? If not than.......
Ok I dont see the Green Wheel in the online store so what or which wheel than?
1, R&D C1 monster wheel?
2, R&D C2 monster wheel?
3, R&D C3 monster wheel?
4, Rotax Racing Hi Boost wheel?
5, Riva Racing Gen 2 wheel?
So many choices so little knowledge.....
I'm getting ready to do a backup SC for my other boat which is a stage 2, setup as folows, 07 RXP, 4" Kana, 42# injecters,Pirhana IC, Green Hulk waterbox. Right now I'm running a gGreen wheel but its getting some hous so instead of taking it out of service, I want to rebuild one of my cores and have a spare for a quick swap out.
Thanks

other comparable wheel to greenwheel and Gen2 wheel is the akit wheel from
les cooke. anodized aluminum, very light construction vs the cast aluminum wheels.
faster spool up, less stress on bearings.

Weight of the impeller has zero to do with "spool up" time. this supercharger is gear driven. If we were talking about a turbo then yes, lighter is better.
I wish i had a buck for every one of these "lightweight" billet impellers that I've seen flex and touch down. The cast impellers are more rigid and do not flex.

Definitely less stress on the clutch but when you are talking stock sized impellers (135 mm) none of them are wearing out clutches like the higher boost SC's.
The outer rim of the impeller flexes under centrifugal force. When i see "touch downs" it's always on the last 5mm tips of the blades on the outer diameter.

So whats the deal on the Monster Wheels? I love the Green though, just wondering if there is boost difference? And while I'm at it, how long before you should change the clutches/washers on a Rude?
