    Here's Your Stimulus...

Owning a Sea-Doo is going to be a little more expensive in Florida.

Went down to the tag agency this week and the bureaucrats informed me that starting in September the fees for renewing our auto tags and boat stickers every year are going to DOUBLE IN COST. I told the red tape brigade we have 14 million people out of work in this country we don't need more fees, and they laughed at me. The figures below are the minimal just for the annual stickers and "registration," not new tags if required...

Now right now in our family we have:
    6 vehicles current cost = approx. 264.00
    3 vessels current cost = approx. 102.00
    total current government intrusion = 366.00 /year

    The new fees...

    6 vehicles NEW cost = approx. 528.00
    3 vessels NEW cost = approx. 204.00
    NEW government intrusion = 732.00 /year

While I can't compain about CT's boat fees...yet. (Boats are the one area they don't tax the heck out of us.) You are still getting off cheap.

The DMV in CT registers all power boats by length. My 9' RXP is the same cost as my dad's dinghy with a 2.2hp motor -> $7.50 a year.

Now my pickup on the other hand was something like $130 registration plus $20 for emissions testing. Then there's the local property taxes for another $433/year.

    • Page 29: Admission: your health care will be rationed!
Talks about cost sharing which is what we do now with our private health care providers. From what I understand, its like your deductible, if not can someone show me otherwise?

    • Page 30: A government committee will decide what treatments and benefits you get (and, unlike an insurer, there will be no appeals process)
This is no different from private insurance companies who do the same thing. One year under my plan, chiropractic services was covered, the next year it wasn't, under our new plan at Home Depot it is, who in the hell is deciding this, a HEALTH BENEFITS ADVISORY COMMITTEE, and I say again, prove me wrong, please!!!!

    • Page 42: The "Health Choices Commissioner" will decide health benefits for you. You will have no choice. None.
I don't have a choice now, either it covered or it isn't.

All non-US citizens, illegal or not, will be provided with free healthcare services.
As I understand it, not being a lawyer, this refers to pre existing conditions not being held against you. And if what the author said about page 59 is true, any illegal cannot get a national id card. I would think if the tried, ummm, they would risk deportation.
