...The high performance turbo I sell features a custom K03 compressor wheel and housing combo which is not available anywhere else. Performance gain with this turbo is around 20hp+. I am currently selling this turbo upgrade to the snow, marine (Hydrospace & Polaris) and RZR crowds...

...I would say 180hp+ on pump gas is not reasonable.
The stock MSX 150 turbo engine generates about 135HP - correct?

Your Stage II ECU reflash combined with your high performance CHRA turbo cartridge is good for 175HP.

So the Stage II reflash with the stock MSX turbo is about 155HP - correct?

Where does the Stage I reflash fit in terms of power output?

As a general rule of thumb, we can assume around +4hp per additional 1psi boost pressure. We can also assume around 3hp per additional 100rpm as the engine is doing more work in the same amount of time.

Stage 1 is +2.5psi and + 350rpm over stock. If we apply the above math, we would have: (2.5psi X 4hp) + (350rpm X 3hp / 100) = 20.5hp. I would apply a +-10% error factor to that.... and net power output should be pretty close.

Stage 2 is +4psi and + 450rpm...... so this nets out to an additional 29.5hp. Here, we should apply a higher potential error factor, like 15%. The reason is because the stock turbocharger is pushed beyond its intended efficiency zone @ 18psi+ boost and air charge temperature increases substantially due to compressor superheating.

Bottom line is stage 1 should be around 150-155 on good gas @ 7,650rpm and stage 2 should be around 160-165 @ 7,750rpm. As stated before the upgraded turbo is good for an additional 15-20hp at a minimum..... That is the observation I made in the snowmobile application.

Turbochargers make a substantial difference on these Weber engines. The reason is because the oem turbos are undersized. Just to give an example..... I am currently using a Garrett GT25R on my Weber engine (sled) and that engine was dyno'd at 230hp @ 8,400rpm earlier this year.

Actual numbers.... a stock Weber turbo engine (sled version) generated 184hp during a dyno run we did at Dynotech Research last December. The only mods on were a stage 2 reflash, a free flow exhaust and a larger intercooler. The stage 1 reflash did 172hp on that same engine with no other mods -- that means with the stock exhaust and the stock air-to-air intercooler.
Detailed dyno results for the Weber engine I tested are actually available on the Dynotech Reasearch website.

That being said, it should be understood the 2004 MSX Weber engine is setup to be less powerful than the snowmobile counterpart..... mainly because of 1-) the smaller turbo compressor wheel and housing, 2-) lower rpm at 7,800 max. versus 8,800 for the snowmobile and 3-) the smaller flow of the single throttle body in the MSX versus the twin on the snowmobile.

Pricing on your upgraded high performance CHRA turbo cartridge?

I presume this would be bundled with a matching ECU re-flash.

Is the hard RPM limit software or hardware (IC)?

It is software and set at 7,800rpm. The reflash does not alter the hard rpm limit (my choice) but completly removes the soft rpm limit which originally started at 7,250rpm. The electronic throttle body (ETB) will limit rpm when reaching 7,800.

    Here is a starting point

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Polar...item43a00063c8

IMO You would still want to talk to Desperado about getting the ECU upgraded even if you decided to stay with the 110
