    1995 Polaris PWC - 2nd Vin?

    Good morning all,

I am in the process of trying to register a "winter project" ski that was given to me.
I noticed the vin plate is missing on the right rear and was wondering if there is a 2nd vin location on this model by chance? It's a SL 750. Just wondering where I may be able to locate that - if there is in-fact one at all.

    Cheers!

Look up front under the storage bin.

Thanks, but not seeing anything. I moved the gas tank back a bit and don’t see it under that either. Is there a certain spot I should be looking, possibly behind the styrofoam? I’m not seeing any signs of one or one being removed at the moment.

On the MSX,s it's on the underside of the top deck, try a mirror if its uncomfortable.

Thanks, but no such luck. I had my buddy which owns a sl750 check on his and he also does not see one. Perhaps this model only had one vin?

    the search continues lol

I want to say it was up around that area in the front. It was only a piece of aluminum glued to the hull.

I'm wondering why the riveted HIN plate was missing from the rear. if someone removed that, it's possible they removed the glued on one as well.

Could be possible. I found a Polaris manual for the SL series and it says Each watercraft is given a unique hull identi fication number that may be used for registra tion. The model number and the hull identification number are both located on a plate attached to the rear ofthe hull .The hull identification number should be re corded and stored in a safe place to help the owner identify the craft if it is stolen. A second identification is attached to the hull in front of the engine . So perhaps we solved the mystery. I’ll have to check when I have a view of the front of the engine I guess.
