I don't think Yamaha ever introduced an updated lever link - just aftermarket. The aftermarket lever link is not notched out where the pin sticks out on the end of the PV, it's enclosed and keeps the...

I don't normally sway away from oem specifications but heat range and diameter is the same as the cr9eb.

That CR9E is different than CR9EB. You must run the plug that it calls for.

Scroll to fitment and your engine is listed for CR9EB. https://www.ngk.com/ngk-6955-cr9eb-nickel-spark-plug

If you keep the plugs and oil changed that machine should be super reliable. Nothing major.

    Are you riding freshwater?

The spring strengths aren't the same even though the color matches. Reusing the oem springs is the best thing to do.

I just had a Gen 1 Riva grate I sold. It won't explode like the stocker at 90mph. lol

I would go OEM if you don't intend on upping the rev limiter with a maptune for the aftermarket prop pitches. Aftermarket will be different than Yamaha OEM pitch.

I use 20W-40 regardless of environment. It has treated me right. It has better viscosity 15+ hours than the 30.

Oil was really dark when I used 10w-30 at 20 hour oil change.

If the clutch isn't gone, it will be with high revs out of the water that's for sure. That's a no no. lol

Also... Check and see if they installed power valve retainers. The pins have been known to fall into the engine causing damage. Modern 4 strokes, I would recommend over these older 2 strokes just for...

Find out if the Oil Injection lines have been checked, replaced, or secured lately. These are reliable engines, so long as those oil injection lines are healthy and secured. Also, 2 Strokes need to...

This is a true statement, I have had people try both my 1.8L HO and SVHO - the 1.8L most people were comfortable with and they'd choose it. Once they moved to the SVHO, it was either I gotta have one...

I'm not sure it goes away, it just means the whole ride isn't 70mph anymore. I like being able to hit the throttle and get scared from time to time still. There's nothing scary about the HO's lol

Your friend probably paid an assembly fee too. I'd have taken this back up there and made them explain it and install the correct grate regardless if you had a new one.

I have both the HO and SVHO platforms, the HO is good for cruising but the SVHO has you grinning ear to ear every time you punch it. I'd get the SVHO if I were you.

The TR1 on a VX Deluxe made more noise to me than my 1.8L VX Cruiser HO. @seamurph I agree, it is more rattle and noise than a 1.8L

Under moderate acceleration the accelerator pump is for sure needed. As far as power valves, you can normally kinda hear them/feel movement if you manually turn it.

Leaking seats more than likely, heat will cause the seats to leak. I would replace the needles and seats and raise the pop off as was suggested. This resolved my XL800 starting while hot issues.

SeaDoo has had a better ride prior to the 2021's too... I never got one because they are ugly to me. No offense. :D

If they bring back the design of the 2012 or 2013 RTX, I'll get one.
