Rear deck on the gp is very thin. Flexes under the blip of a throttle. Not too sure you want to mount anything into that rear deck.

Jut do the 8,000 rpm tune. that will unlock some speed and rpm but keep yamaha happy

That 11/15 is way too high rpm impeller I was on the limiter at 8,500 at 65mph with that. You want to look in the area of 13/18. The impeller for the older sho motor have had good results.

The hoses at the transom forth transom not sealing, the drive shaft cover, and the intake grate bolts are your most probable causes.
