Could be an exhaust leak inside the hull, That will cause a rough idle and no power as you did touch the exhaust.

I doubt you would even notice the difference if you did somehow manage to get 80 lbs out. Don't waste your time on it. Just add more power and that will net far bigger gains over removing 80 lbs.

I think your price is a bit inflated. I had a local print shop do vinyl boat # and name for $50 canadian including cost of vinyl and it included a custom graphic in the boat name.
