Folks. This is how it is done. Nice job. Keep checking your clearences when machining od grinding the impeller. Shoot for .008". Might have to sand down that hump where the ring is welded.

Did you press a wear ring in it ?

Put down the drill and do the welder method as stated. I think I might have a post here somewhere where I show pics of a broken, seized fastener showing the welding method.

I have a nozzle extension thread here somewhere. I also have a Zxi nozzle but never did create an actuator for it yet.

Please no JB weld. Do it right. Find an alum nut the size you need and have it tigged on. JB weld causes havoc to the welder(person and machine) when trying to weld something that has been slathered...

These pumps are very easy to rebuild. I did a complete post on this forum from replacing the liner and building up the impeller edges and re-machining it back to size.

If you are going to drill and tap it, find a hose barb with 1/4" NPT on the male side and drill and tap for 1/4" NPT.

I rebuilt my pump using the same company for the wear ring. Pretty easy to do. I have a link somewhere here showing step by step what I did. I even welded up the impeller edges on my stock impeller...

Mcmaster dot com has the same strainer as well.

Never drilled out a broken fastener in 20 years. See post. I just removed a broken shoe bolt from a Yamaha. Plus you might want to start a new thread at this one is 13 years old....

Agree with Steve45. There are bubbles around that hole. Looks like it will need a patch. Cut out the corrosion and make a patch and tig it up. Simple. I have done this before as well.

Inducers have been on real jet boats for over 30 years. Helps in loading the pump.

Nice to get you by. I am not a fan of 5200. Not sure why you did not tap the good one on the right. 1/2" NPT might have worked. I would have done it a little different. TIG build up on the broken one...

Oh and a 110v welder aint gonna cut it.

Never attempt to drill broken fasteners out. It only makes matters worse. I usually mig or tig weld a tip and build up on the broken fastener. Then put a nut on the tip and hammer the heat and weld...

Yup. It helped for me.

So what was the no spark cause.

Put a pump wedge in it and get the bow up a little. Try that first. I have two wedges in mine.

Heat is your friend with stubbon items you are facing. A MAP gas torch will work in this situation if you don't have Oxy/Cet set up.
