    Yes you can fit the head studs without removing the head, you would have to remove the cams to be able to get to the head bolts....

    Got my oil pan back today. Local shop tig welded...

    Got my oil pan back today. Local shop tig welded the hole up, not a bad job.
    Can start the rebuild now
    Still looking for an oil breather plate and an earth block for an svho if anyone has one...

    The timing chain, cam wheels and crank cog are all in good order.
    On my blown engine I know the cam chain was replaced about 40 hours ago and it looks in mint condition.
