Might try the map sensor...it will do weird stuff if they get water in them or if they go bad...

Not an easy job....may have to cut shaft to get it out...that year was a bad design...all depends on if it was used in Salt water...

I have 2012 rxtx 260 motor with 100 hours on it for 3500.00. Fresh water...and a 87 hour 155 2010 gtx motor for 2500.00...fresh water also..motors come complete with head...no manifolds or sc on...

Usually when no power is the problem it's the sc slipping....50mph with no boost and 70 with boost.. so you might want to ck the slip on the sc...

Using studs and the 300 gasket should be Bullitt proof...well as long as you don't get any detonation....and as long the head is flat...

They have a problem with sc washers breaking and contaminating the oil...that is why they spin a rod bearing...they have bad exhaust valves...is the main problem
..fix it...

Hollow exhaust or sodium filled..valves....very prone to break more on sc motors vs na motor...all 4 tec up to the middle of 2006...then they changed them to the better 75 valves...the bad ones were...
