Running the fuel pressure is only 5-9 psi. The needle is opened by vacuum on the diaphragm and not fuel pressure. Pop off psi is only a bench test to simulate running vacuum.

The timing trigger it is on the OD 120 degrees apart and non magnetic.

I measure to the start edge of the pickup. You could ohm the pickup and rotate the motor and note the degrees from TDC.
