You need all of the electrical equipment from the HO motor... ECU, e-box, harness, gauges, security module. The 06 gauges won't fit the 04 hull without modification, so you'll need to get gauges...

Save your money. Use hose clamps. I've done it several times on Kawasaki 4-stroke motors.

Valves are different on the 300. If I remember correctly, the exhaust valves are a little shorter.

Used heads don't cost that much. Not worth trying to weld it and risking unknown problems... not to mention wasting a head gasket in the process.

I got the head without plugs. To rule out a problem with the plug itself, I tried 2 different plugs in the hole with the same result.

Don't know the history of this head, but obviously the spark plug hole has been repaired with a threaded insert. The spark plug cannot be installed all the way, and ends up about 1/4-inch higher...

After 4 years of aggravation, I think I'd just sell the replacement and buy something else.

Year and model would help.

Remove the boots from the spark plug wires. Trim the wires back about a half inch. Then re-install the boots.
