    Looks like crankshaft has gone through a revision, new part number, perhaps they pinned the crank gear.

    Rods are also a new part#. Maybe lighter rods and crank balance changed hence new crank...

    If by "bad" you are referring to those missing chunks, those are balancing cut outs. The wheel is balanced by removing material.
