I don't know. I was never able to find any blockage. My guess would be something like a small stick that dried out, shrank, and came loose.

I did blow gently back through the pisser (by mouth)...

OK, I'm confused. What is a 'flat bottom Ultra 150'? And since 2005 was the last year for the 150, are you asking about the 250?

Does the gas gauge work? If so, you don't need a Reserve setting or a selector valve. Plug the On outlet, hook the hose directly to the Reserve outlet. When the gauge gets low, put gas in it.

I'd bet that the non-linear ranging is a holdover from the old style gauges that used a single float on a wire arm and a rheostat. That would give a sinusoidal response.

I don't think machining would be much of a problem. The crankshaft is threaded. These engines turn CCW when viewed from the rear.

    Sounds like a fun project!

I run 25:1 for break-in. If you're running oil injection, then you want to mix 50:1 in the tank, too.

Running on the hose doesn't do anything for your break-in procedure.

I would inspect the nipple carefully (I ALWAYS look carefully at nipples ). See if it could be leaking where it goes into the casting, or if it has a crack or burr.

Glad you found the problem! Do you have the right size hose? What brand of hose is it?

I don't like worm gear clamps, use Oetiker clamps in that application.

I'll have to give that a try, Blake. We did anchor the 'Skis yesterday and the tide went down, causing them to drag on the sand. I don't have an air compressor with me this week, so I'll see if I...
