I would "rightstuff" the entire grate to the hull...
I would "rightstuff" the entire grate to the hull bonding it on all sides. That would hold up to high speeds. But yes why they didn't need that up is crazy. The ride plate mounts are not like that

you can add a Y to create 2 water supplys or you...
you can add a Y to create 2 water supplys or you can add a another supply from the pump. remember the billet cooling plate provides equal water to the block instead of just in one location.

you could but if the water pressure is greater in the block then it will back up the flow and the tee (off the ic supply)will be useless. the tee is important for coming the ic properly
