    Really check the ski/engine over before you put it back on the water. If the motor was running without cooling water, you probably cooked it and anything connected to it.

    Toss that mount in the can, if it breaks on the water it will let the motor bounce around. That can take out the thru hull carrier bearing which will flood and sink the ski.
