That sh*t right there is why I decided to start wrenching (learning to wrench) on my own skis! Unbelievable that a dealer could have a "technician" that is that clueless, kinda scary actually.

True and I was definitely thinking about that as I was squirting raw gas in a cup yesterday doing the test.

Is it possible to reach up there and pull that vent off fuel tank from the engine...

Thanks Sean! Just had another random thought. Since it always takes 20 minutes or so before the problem starts; could it be plugged one way vent tube on top of tank? Would simply going for a ride...

I just realized I could simply swap fuel pump relays from good ski to problem ski to see if that is the problem. Anyone see a problem with doing that?

I have considered the electrical possibility, but don't think it is battery or charging problem. I keep battery on a tender and it cranked for a looooong time before I got it...

Ok so I finally got around to rigging up a fuel pressure gauge and figured while I was at it I could follow the manual too! First thing I did was to watch gauge/listen to pump while just pushing in...

I think you hit the nail on the head Steve thx. Finally found a picture after much searching and it was so simple. It consisted of pressure gauge+1/4" NPT coupling+1/4" NPT male to barb adapter.

Attaching Fuel Gauge to Fuel Line

I just bought a fuel pressure gauge at Northern Tool. It has threaded 1/4" NPT fitting. Anybody have suggestion on easy way to connect this (fittings) to the fuel line/rail? Or I can just do it the...

Excellent, that's what I'm talking about! Was the 5500-6000 rpms all the time or intermittent? What fuel pressure psi were you getting on that gauge? And finally; how did you route the fuel line up...

Exactly my point; it is NOT a constant problem and as I stated above, gas is fresh 93 octane. I'm quite sure if I did the quantity check for 3 seconds it would be the correct amount. What I'm trying...

    Spark Plugs vs Fuel Pump

One of my skis I was certain had fouled plugs. So I changed them and it ran great for awhile (first 20 minutes or so). Then after a 10 minute slow zone, started banging out real bad. So I'm thinking...

I was told that they cannot be honed due to their Nikasil plating. Apparently the plating is super thin and honing would take the Nikasil off.
At least that was what I was told; I could be wrong.

I can vouch for it being tricky as hell! I wound up having to buy a second ring compressor set. Only 1 of the set fits the piston/ring and since you have to lower the block down on two at a time, it...

Along this same line of discussion; how is it possible for the dipstick to keep getting pushed up out of the tube? This is the ski I rebuilt and it has 170 psi compression on all 4 cylinders. It's...

Are you sure the head is ok? My head was trashed due to a melted piston. I sent it to Kawiperformance up in NY and they salvaged the good valves etc/put them in a new blank head (with the...

Are you talking about the vent at the back of the valve cover that goes to the catch can? If so, how would you get a "pressurized" valve cover? Leaking valve, cracked head?
