From what I've always understood, this was only a problem with the 2014 and 2015 SVHO motors. My former neighbor across the street from me lost his chain in his 2014 FZR about 3 yrs ago.

I've read through this thread and I didn't see anywhere where you mentioned the gasoline in your skis. I have to assume a couple of things:

    1. it's ethanol gas
    2. there is leftover, old...

Awesome news that you found the "smoking gun!" Thank you for coming back into the thread and posting your fix. It may very well help someone out in the future. Maybe me!

This is an important piece of information!

I would not buy a running, used jet ski without test riding it first with one of my wrist mounted GPS units to check the ski's performance. Too much can...

If your ski is consuming/leaking a quart of oil per tank of gasoline, there has got to be a lot of oil in the bottom of your hull!

That's surprising to me because my experience with my two, 2-strokes is the exact opposite. My fixed rate oil pump Raider smokes like crazy at idle and my variable oil pump GP1200 has much less...

This is not true, Pete. My ancient 1994 WaveRaider does indeed have a fixed rate oil pump but my slightly less ancient 1997 GP1200 has a variable rate oil pump. There is quite a difference in...

    I didn't purchase a 5 year warranty on my 2019. Maybe I should've but I didn't.

I'm with Steve on a couple of points. No, you're probably not going to find much in this covid, "sellers market" of used skis. Prices are very high and I rarely see a ski for as low as $2000. 100%...
