I would use the Black one for everything or install nothing for flat/glass water top speed. All scoops slow you down somewhat on flat water.

Anything that spins much slower will last a lot longer then jet propulsion. Spinning 5000rpms + to plane and cruise with jet just won't last. Or 8000+ rpm to obtain a higher speed with jet just...
