Pulled the pump today and took it apart, bearings are shot and lots of water inside. I'll check what needs to be replaced and order the parts.

OK, I'm at about the same hours, but I have had no previous work done to the pump, will be interesting to see what it look like.

I think it's only fuel, that would make the Maptuner superior from a performance perspective, it's much more expensive though.

Did you need to replace the impeller as well, or was it repairable?

There's nothing wrong with plastic per se, it's what's there from the factory and it will work fine and it's cheaper, you will need to replace it again at some point though.

There are pros and cons with both, but thinking that a plastic ring would save your impeller is mostly wishful thinking, just look at the pics in this thread.

I have the stock intake but otherwise similar mods, no issues. Also if it worked OK before, it seam strange if it suddenly doesn't.

Maybe have a dealer check with BUDS if it shows any error codes.
