Wait, just thought about this a bit more and compression IS NOT an indicator of good or bad reeds, so ignore that part of the comment. I do still believe the reeds are working well enough for the...
  2. Polaris SLT 780 idle issue & water separator

Yes but weíve already concluded earlier in the thread that itís getting 130 psi compression on all three cylinders, and his fuel pump seems fine because itís removing fuel from the separator. The...

Just to chime in with my 2 cents...

I donít think the issue is with the reeds. If it were, gas wouldnít be leaving the fuel /water separator to be replaced by air, unless there is an air leak...

That is exactly what I did. Turns out the brass colour bar inside that carries power to the brushes from the terminal split in two spots and thatís why it worked intermittently...

Good idea but that definitely wasn't the issue. When pressing the starter button the only noise from the engine was the relay clicking. No starter motor or bendix engagement sound. When I removed the...

    1995 sl750 starter motor fried?

Okay, removed the starter motor again and stuck a large flat bladed screwdriver into the bendix. It would not budge. To be honest, Iím not really sure how it could get jammed to the point of not...

    1995 sl750 starter motor fried?

Okay, answering my own question: you can get at the starter motor by detaching the exhaust expansion chamber and sliding it forward.

After removing the starter motor and hooking it back up to the...
