The gauges work. I tried pressing mode 5 times and nothing shows up. It just goes through all the different modes on the gauges.

So if i put the driveshaft and pump in temporarily to spin test the motor and then the shop removes the driveshaft for the alignment will there be oil coming out of PTO? I hope they don't...

yes I am checking the clearances with the old bolts. I got a new set of OEM bolts that will go in on final assembly

Ok. Thanks! When you check the clearance with plastigauge do you torque to 33ft lb + 90 degrees or is torquing to 33 enough just for checking the clearance?

I saw those specs. How would you figure out the min and max clearances for the connecting rod bearings using those specs?

Good day everyone. Just curious if anyone had specs for connecting rod big end clearance on these 4tec motors. I have a manual and all they list is the service limit. Is there a min and max spec?

You are right. Just checked it out and there is a noticeable lip where the thrust bearing rides on the block. Could I just take some sand paper and make it flat again to gain the needed clearance?

Alright so I just measured it and I’m getting .002”. What could I do to get a bit more axial play? Could I sand down the backside of the thrust washer a bit with some 400 or 600 grit sandpaper?
