Very cool. Yeah, that flywheel looks to be really thin. That thing should spool up quick.

Reverse was normally reserved for the 3 seater models, but I'm sure you could add reverse to a 2. Don't think you could easily do a finger lever set up though.

Have you done a compression test?

The oil pump has an adjustment if you suspect it's over-oiling.

Use a small flash light or camera and take a look through the spark plug hole with the piston...

I can tell you that groove is not supposed to be there in the needles. (should replace)

You should do a pop off test to make sure you're within spec as well.

Remove the flame arrestor and observe the carbs while the engine is running.

Do you see any fuel dripping from the middle of the carbs? (leaking needle and seat)

I'm going to agree with Casey. Do yourself a favor and buy 3 of those cheap in-line spark testers that attaches between the plug wire and the spark plug. They will show you which cylinder is not...

Unfortunately, just that one rod would make me want a whole new/rebuilt crank. You can try to save a few bucks and replace just that one, but it wouldn't be worth it to me. That's just my opinion.
