I have no experience with extended nozzles- but it sounds like there is little or no downside (all else being equal) and for $120 it's definitely worth a try. Seems to have worked some for You.

It doesn’t cost me much to run a few gallons of pink or purple rv antifreeze through the ski with a sump pump.

That way I’m sure. Cheap piece of mind for a very expensive machine.

Maybe Kevin will chime in here, but my bet would be that the ski was only lent to Watercraft Journal and the valve was returned out of courtesy.
