So far there are no suitable substitutes for the newer pigtail style TPS's. You can buy a 2001 and earlier throttle body and fit the older style TPS to it, still available as an Evinrude part.

A wise person I know suggests that tight cables can be greatly improved by disconnecting on both ends and then spinning the cable innards with a drill. Worth a shot 8-)

Welcome to Greenhulk! Unless you know for sure that the second EMM is good, it's possible that BOTH EMMs are bad.

Probably going to have to drive it out of the coupler from the threaded end. Not sure how though without pulling the engine :( (coupler loosened and removed first of course)
