I did clean Inlet filter in carbs. I would like to eliminate these and put in a a good in line filter. Is that recommended? What kind of mph you running at 7000

My 98' GTX limited went 57 mph on the GPS today. 215 hours on engine. Still strong, I have had some carb issues and my ski has been well maintained . It's not for sale.

Ok , My GTX is carbed 951. It has 215 hours. Rebuilt carbs last year and ran great, this year having issue like fuel shortage. I pulled carbs and cleaned then bypassed fuel selector. Just to compare...

Spark is weak on both cylinders. I pulled the inspection plug for the timing mark and it is at 0 at TDC for the mag cylinder. I think this means timing is ok and key isn't sheared?

Sorry, let me clarify. I reconnected all wires except for the brown wire connection between the stator and the cdi box. With the brown wire disconnected between the stator and the cdi box I tested...

Sorry it took a couple days to get back to it. With everything connected the brown wire from the cdi box while cranking is 9.03 volts dc. Brown wire from stator side 0 volts. Double checked and still...

Thanks, I will try this next. are there any other checks before I reconnect everything? Wish I could pin point at least which of thew three components is faulty before I spend the money on upgrading...

I assume I need to reconnect all other wires to test this? Most everything is still disconnected now.

Ok after reinstalling battery and with all wires from CDI and Stator still disconnected I got no crank from start button. Jumped the starter solenoid with a screwdriver to crank and read 58-59 volts...
