Nice work Jim. Makes sense, with similar mods, my FX ran 84.9 mph at 8740 RPM on the limiter at 3/4 throttle 3/4 tank gas with rough water P1 AquaX plate.

I posted every single mod and detail. I got the tach to work it’s around 9200 wot. Perfect

Well I Would Not Ride it again until you reinforce the grate mounting points. At least that's what I would do, why risk further damage that will/could make reinforcing more involved.

I gotta admit...you are the ONLY person I've ever seen say this plate hasn't helped you. Lots of other factors to why a ski may not be as fast...saw you are comparing to it brand new, 3 years ago. ...

Actually, does the build date code really matter? If you look in there, and the brackets are recessed through the inner layer, then it should be addressed no matter what I would think, no?

Just went for first ride after work and holy shit this thing is violent...Half throttle shoots rpm to 8800 so fast it was stupid...Want to rip arms off my body. Way choppy for a wide open run but...

Guys, I obtained 10 brand new FZ SVHO ride plates from Yamaha at a really good price so I'm able to discount these turn key ride plates $100 each. I currently have 8 of them left at this price.

Any "Free flow" exhaust will drone due to the exhaust dumping into the pump tunnel and resonating.

Rear exhaust is the best way to go. Sounds nice and clean and looks bad ass. Not to mention it...

FYI stearing cable for gpr 1200 and gpr 1300 are not the same cable 1300 cable is 2" longer for the longer pump used on 2003 and up Gpr's

You can use what ever O2 adaptor you want and it will trash all of the sensors. The water box is your problem like ive told you 100p times.

remove valve cover and be sure all four cam plugs are in each end of the cam shaft. There should be one in each end. If these plugs come out it will cause low oil pressure. Tommy Jordan

Thank you for your results Steve. 3.4 mph. is right were are testing was on the new VXR plate depending on the drivers weight we got 3 to 3.8 mph. gains, and the handling feeling better past 50 mph....

I'm super happy with mine. Made a huge difference. I tried other aftermarket plates in the past and I just wasn't happy with them in the rough water I ride in.
