Not sure about the torque value you used, I just looked at my manual (2015) ... Torque for the cap nut is 29 Nm or 21 ft-lbs or 252 in-lbs.
Checked another manual from 2008... torque is 30 N-m... -

The dealer was emphatic that they don't have any means to set hours or to "copy" an old ECU's hours to a new ECU.
I will reach out to BRPCare to see if they can provide more info. -
