The failure was pump related. Tyler actually got the hole shot but was only in about 9th place at lap one. That was surprising. Each of the next 2 laps were about 10-15 secs slower & we figured something was up. The boat started laying down at 3 1/2 laps & finally fell on its nose coming in to be scored on finish of the 4th lap. Tyler just drove it to the beach. We found another pump on to borrow off another boat but after launching fiound that a large water leak had developed around the shaft seal. Day over at 4 laps.
I private msged you this because I know that Mark & Steve Friebe were beating themselves up pretty bad & did not want the faure public knowledge unless Mark chose to do so.
We we all pretty bummed but there's not much you can say at that point. It was a very good team & pit crew & we are sorry we could not represent better than we did.
